I could understand if the blown rain might hit the back of the flange above the bed. But at that point it seems like it should run off and maybe get your carpet wet. If it's dripping on the bed, I would bring the slide in and make sure where the roof meets the flange is water tight.

Thats what I was thinking. It seems as if the leak is on the roof of the slide through a seam that needs some caulking.

I found a rubber seal for garage doors at Lowes that I think will be perfect for the repair! I'm going to rivet it to the existing seal so it will drag about one inch on the top of the slideout.

Yesterday I disconnected the slide topper from the slide and laid it back on top of the MH to get it out of the way. With the slide fully extended I raised the bottom of the existing seal to see what it looked like where the top of the slideout meets the inside fascia. The material on top of the slide turns up maybe 1/4 inch at that point and there is a rubber seal with adhesive back that seals the joint. There was about a foot of the seal that had come loose and water could possibly go over it! I'm putting a large bead of silicone sealant the full length of that joint so if that's been the problem it should take care of it.

I'm about to get out there this morning to finish the job!

When my bedroom slide had a small leak last year it was caulking. Had NOTHING to do with any of the seals.

Reworked all caulking and all was good.

I forgot to post a pic of the repaired slideout seal.

Yes, I riveted it to the top of the old slideout seal! I used aluminum rivets and put a stainless steel washer on the rivet on each side of the rubber!
