Water pressure regulator
Where do you place the water regulator?....at the spigot, end of the hose before the filter, or at the coach end of the filter?

Either works. I've always put it at the coach end, but I really don't know why.

As you can see by the photo we put ours at the end of the filters to make sure the pressure going in was at the pressure we wanted (60 psi). Also had an incoming gauge to see what park pressure was. The filters were one regular filter and one carbon filter. Used a Watts pressure regulator. It works for us.

I attach mine to the faucet, then inline filter, then hose, then mh. The way I figure it is if you run into a water system where the regulator actually does it's job I want the hose protected too.

Yep, at the faucet. I used to connect at motorhome, but had a couple of premature hose failures that, I think, were pressure related. Since changing to a faucet connect hoses seem to fare better.

In most cases, I would put the regulator at the faucet unless you use a hose that can withstand high water pressure without failure. If you are using water hoses that you purchase at Walmart or Camping World, I wouldnt do it. Here is a link to the company that I bought my hose from, yes, they are expensive, but they will outlast a cheaper hose MANY times without having to be repaired, and they are good for 200 psi without damage. With that said, my regulator is located in my MH, also, a good regulator is a must, the cheap ones restrict your flow, get a good home unit like a Watts Regulator that will flow more water. This place also sells the regulators.
RV Water Filter Store: Standard Filter Canisters for Whole RV
Just my 2 cents.

Depends on the campground hookup. If I have to get down on my hands and knees or reach into a hole to hookup, or if there isn't enough ground clearance for the Watts regulator I attach it to the motorhome.
If the hookup is high and clear it attach to the faucet.

Depends a bit on several things.. But I have been in parks where the pressure is up well into the triple digits (liek 112 to 120 PSI) and in those parks if you put it anywhere other than at the park end of your water hose you may well need a new hose in the morning.
If you use a filter,,, the filter may cause excess restriction of the water flow.. In that case I have been known to use two fileters, one set to like 60 PSI or so at the park (Hose is good to 80 at least) and one at 45-50 at the RV.
But I now make my own filters, they are high flow (3") and thus only use the park side regulator.

Since the hose is usually the weakest link, I put the regulator at the faucet.
As for filters, they pretty much act like regulators themselves. Only so much water will "fit" thru a filter...

At the CG hose bib, unless it won't fit - then at the coach.

I made my filter/regulator system 10+ years ago. It still works great.
Sequence: Spigot, 5/8" drinking hose, filter, regulator, camper.
I've never had a hose burst or fail.
I feel the filter should come before regulator to account for drop across filter media, to maximize filter effectiveness and to keep debris out of regulator.

I use a stainless steel hose to hook to the CG faucet. The Watts whole house pressure regulator is next in a manifold that has a gauge on the output of the Watts and a "Y" after that. Next, there is a long hose that goes back to same large sediment filter that others have pictured and a short hose from it to the input to the RV. Like others, I've had CG water pressure blow up my regular hose and this setup prevents that. If I have to add a second hose, I add it between the manifold and the hose. That leaves all of the more delicate stuff on the output side of the Watts.
