Water tank capacity
After unsuccessfully researching the Internet to find out the capacity of my water holding tank I now pose the question to the "experts"! I have a 2002 36 ft Damon Intruder motor home. I am getting ready to sanitize my water tank and need to know its capacity so I know how much bleach to use.....anyone have any idea?

Measure your tank. Multiply length X width X height in inches to calculate the cubic inch capacity. Use this convertor to obtain gallons:
Cubic Inches to US Gallons (Liquid) conversion

An easy way is to time how long it takes to fill up a 5 gallon bucket. Then fill up you empty RV tank and see how long it takes. Do the math (I always wanted to say that.).

One way in the absence of a water flow meter, with an auxiliary water pump, you can pump and empty a 5 gal buckets of water into your water tank and count the gallons needed to fill the coach. OR manually pour 1 gallon jugs into your fill spout.

Here's a previous thread where another member puts it at 100 , which I'm sure is close enough.

Fill it. Measure gallons as you drain it.
Curious why it matters and what you would do if it is not enough.

He said he want to know capacity to know how much bleach to use to Sanitize the tank. Doing the filling or draining methods above will get you close enough.
