Water Truck Fill?

How do you fill your water from a water truck that comes around the RV sites. Mine has a hose bib.

Some newer coach’s have a valve to redirect water flow from the city connection directing it to the tank.

“Usually” The water trucks use a hose to transfer water, we’ve gotten water that way at several music festivals.

You can make a short Female to female adapter out of hose and a couple hose fittings. My coach would require such and adapter. Never had that situation come up though.

Probably connects to a Hose Bib. I have gotten water from a truck that way. No Problem. When I use my bladder, I have a pump inline to increase the pressure.

Another option is to use a clothes washer supply hose - It already has FF ends.

He will have a pump and just connect to your city water connect. Set the city/fill valve to fill.

I was managing a campground after Hurricane Katrina. We had water trucks honey wagons and supply trucks in and out of the 100 unit campground every day. The water truck always hooked up the "city water fill connection" to fill the tank. ...........Except for once when he mistakenly hooked up to the black tank flush connection and proceeded to fill the tank......until he heard yelling and the RV occupants running out the door yelling the toilet is overflowing!!!!!

Why would you need a female to female hose adapter? My city water inlet is already a female fitting to fit on the end of a standard garden hose connected to a hose bib. Do some RVs have male city water connections?
