I've lived in Texas since '88. I only go north to get out of the summer heat. People are much friendlier in Texas. ln the north in the summer if I say Hello, Good Morning, or even Hi, I get Errrrr, from then Yankees and I'm one. I had to learn how to be "Nice" when I moved here.

Stayed in Bandera last night in the Skyline RV park. Deer running through your campsite and LONG, LONG horn cattle at the fence line. COOOL!!!

Heading to Corpus Christi today and then up the coast. Any suggestion for that path?

Thanks

We have always enjoyed our trips to Texas. The people just seem genuine and warm. In fact, we are on our way down to the RGV now to spend the winter. We consider Texas a top candidate for our Escape Plan when we are ready to leave the FT experience and settle down again. The Colorado mountains have been our base camp for 37 years, but we sure love Texas [...food, culture, history, ruggedness, diversity, etc...]! \ken

You should check out Fredericksburg, TX. It has a lot to offer. Wineries, German food, museums, etc.

Been going to Brownsville TX for last 5 years. Decided to try FL this year. After hearing stories of traffic and congestion cancelled reservations and are headed back to TX.

Good. I advise everyone to avoid Florida.
