It is a well known fact that most of these backing problems are the fault of the wife's poor hand signals.

I like to watch folks trying to back in for a bit and then will go over and offer to help. I will only offer once and if refused will not offer again.

It is all a learning curve and they will work at it until they get it in or get close enough to quit. Some peoples curves are just steeper!

Some folks are naturals, others will never learn but we all enjoy the RV life.

I love these threads... as an RV Driver Trainer I always tell my students that this is going on. My goal for them..."Don't become the entertainment."

I'm saving his thread to use for homework!

PS... like the OP I too enjoy a good show, but I think scorecards are poor taste.

If she did, I wouldn't have said that. She is the boss for sure.

Was just down at the lake yesterday (and by down I mean our boat ramp is 1/4 mile long and 100 yds wide) and just as we were pulling out of the water 3 20 something young men with a jacked up PU hauling a twin jetski set up (ball to wheels on the trailer was about 1/2 the wheel spread on the truck!) stopped 300 yds up the ramp. They then proceeded to turn around up there and start to back down the ramp. Now remember, the ramp is 100 yds wide and only 2 of us are on the ramp. Watching the next 10 mins go by as they zig zagged down the ramp from jack knife one side to jack knife the other side for 300 yds was fun to watch.
I had left my paddles at home!

Hey! I resemble all these comments about women~! I'm the backer-upper, cus DH has anger management issues with the process. I'm getting good at the 24' trailer but now that we're going to a 29', I'll be on the learning curve again.

No laughing here; no snickering or obvious snorting either....

My wife is a very good spotter and very inventive when making up new signs and verbal directions. My favorite is "OK..... Don't Go". I also like when drive in the center lane of a three lane road (each way), when she yells, get over quick. I don't know left or right. Which reminds me of when we arrived at a T in the road. I asked her which way. After staring at the map for a second she said, "UP" Well my motor home only goes left and right. Up doesn't work. She said, you know UP on the map is North.

My favorite is " you know it's kind of ok where it is , BUT , if you move it over 8" we'll have more room on the awning side.
That was particularly frustrating after nailing the pulling in of the 5er first time; then the fight would start , when I pulled out and brought it back in in the same place. " How can you move that far forward and bring it back exactly the same? "; Practice dear you know I do it every time!
