Wind sensor not working when enabled, awning closes within 40 seconds. Is their a simple solution or do I need to take it to the shop.

Most WP owners have had the same problem forever. Google for the manual and you might be able to fix it yourself. Even after multiple repairs, I don't use my sensor anymore. I just treat it as a non-electric awning. I would never recommend this brand to anyone.

Call company earlier to to see what the cause was and if I could reset it. The are going to email me what I might be able to do. After that I went to their Web Site but had no luck finding manual download. Still waiting for their email. I just hate waiting.

Thanks a lot HBD4, I would of never found it. Now let's see how good I can follow instruction. Don't know why this was not in the bundle of manuals we got when buying the MH.

maanpa.yates, your 2007 model year may have a different controller, I know our 2008 does. Here is the users manual for that one. It does show how to enable and disable the wind sensor using the remote. I did not find a service manual for this one on the 'net.

You have the newer model. Our unit has no way shown to set the wind speed. Our is like the manual that HD4Mark sent. Maybe when and if I receive my email from Weather Pro it will have that information. Now now I need to get out the ladder and check wind sensor on roof. Maybe tomorrow.

Don't piss away good money as I have done trying to get the darn thing to work. After my original wind sensor gave out for no apparent reason, I replaced the complete control unit. The new unit lasted a couple of days and then it quit. They win !!

Disable it and when the wind blows bring it in manually.

I'm serious. The only solution is to replace both the sensor and the control box, and the new one often works no better than the old.. I gave up on mine, too much work to keep replacing them.

Just to let you know Weather Pro never emailed information they said they would. First company to let me down of all the RV suppliers I've contacted. Thanks to the response I got from the irv2 members I got the information I needed. Guess who I'm going to drop from my list of company's when new items are needed. When weather cools I set the ladder up. Mean time I been on the disabled list. Thanks again for all the help.

Have you checked the sensor for bug nests. I had one build his home in there and after cleaning it worked like new. Just a thought.
