Wet bay...another dumb newbie question.

My wet bay has a selector switch for city water, fresh water tank, winterizing and dry camping. The first 3 I understand but what would the dry camping position be used for in a wet bay when you have no water hookups? I have looked through my manual multiple times to no avail. Thanks in advance!

Just a guess, but I think the "dry camp" selection is another word for "normal" operation. In the winterize position, the pump will function as a siphon from antifreeze tube. In dry camp position, the pump functions as normal, pulling water from the fresh water tank.

Dry camping might be to let you fill the FW tank while dry camping. Similar to sucking in AF when winterizing.

Thanks. Yes I thought about that, but it has a selection on the switch for fresh water tank fill and I have a gravity fill port as well so that would be a lot of redundancy for options to fill the FW tank.

Actually you're right! Turn selector to dry camping, hook water hose to inlet valve, other end into a water jug, turn on water pump and it will fill the fresh water tank with water from the jug. Nice feature!
