You might call customer service @ Monaco to ask what to expect when replacing the ceramic/porcelain tiles on your Class A. What's under the floor presently?

Please note that ceramic/porcelain tiles going down will need to be mounted on another subfloor. I personally prefer the concrete 1/4" Wonderboard screwed to subfloors. It could also go on 1/4" luan mahogany plywood, but you'd have to decide whether to use a fortified thinset mortar under and on top of the plywood (total depth 3/4" installed) or a specialized mastic (glue.)

I'm presently on a job laying 13" porcelain tiles on top of the orange Schlater Kerdi membrane on top of T&G 3/4" plywood. We're going the specialized mastic and then fortified thinset on top of the membrane.

$700 should be plenty for the job. You're not talking about any square footage in a motor home, and it shouldn't be that big of a deal.

Joe, if you decide to go with this, please post pics. We have a 2004 HR and the carpet is way overdue for removal. For $600.00 it would be worth it for us to come to Mississippi if this guy stays at that price and would be willing to do it again. My DH could do it, but is not real receptive to the idea. He's retired ya know....lol

Ernie, what is a reasonable price range we could expect to hire someone to do the work?? I know each coach is different and type of flooring etc. Maybe a ballpark range?
