Hi guys looking to buy an add or room or similar, over here in the UK only the Carefree add a room ltd seems to be available, but I can import a patti room or Vacation'r, anybody recommend which is the best or suggest another. Its to fit a 16' rollout on a winnebago Brave.

Ian

Hi olley,
I know the Carefree product is a very good and solid product. I do not know about the Vacation'r product.

I had a screen room for my trailer. I now have a freestanding screen room .I think it is a better arrangement.

We have used our Carefree room for several years on two different motorhomes. We would not be without it for stays over a week. For short stays it is more trouble than it is worth...heavy, hard to install and stow.

I got a carefree room with the last Class A and I put it up once. Of course I am the sole setter upper so it was way too much trouble for me with no help. I never put it up again and it went with the coach when I sold it.
I bought a stand alone tent style from ll bean after that which is soooooo much easier. I don't think they make them anymore though. I don't know why as it was backordered when I got it and I had to hunt one down.
Campmor has a good selection if you want to go that route.

As an Add A Room owner I agree it is almost impossible to put it up alone if it is very big. The ends are ok, but the long wall has to be fed carefully from one end of the awning roller and get it all the way to the other end without binding at the beginning end of the slot. That said, I understand the newer fabric is lighter weight and may be easier to maneuver. But check with Carefree to be sure. And I still would not be without mine for long campings.
