Might to tell us where that is.

Still at $3.26 for regular and $3.56 for diesel in Fairbanks Alaska. We have very low fuel tax in this state so someone is making a killing on our backs. Our home heating fuel is $3.25 too and that is how virtually all of us here in Fairbanks heat our homes. Of course we live in the banana belt so that is hardly a factor

Right AFTER Elections...

The steepest drops have come after the election, ironically. The same thing as 2008, when we hit an all-time high in April, bottomed out in January of 2009. In truth, gas prices have little to do with domestic politics.

While visiting #1 son in Lansing this past week, the DW purchased some gift cards for the G-kids at Kroger. Afterwards, I filled up at their pumps at $2.28. After inserting their rewards card, I was surprised to get an additional $1.00 off per gallon...it felt like I was 30 years old again!

I must admit though, I'm just as thrilled to pay the $2.49 a gallon here in Florida...no Kroger's around, but it IS 82 degrees here today.
