Just curios, I just got a 29' class C with the E450 gas engine. I called one place ( they do inspection stickers) I need one of those too. I asked them how much they charge for an oil change. They asked me if it was gas or diesel and I told him it was gas. First they said $100. bucks. Then I said. I think I said this wasn't diesal. Then they said $70. I know manny of you do them yourself. And the cost is a lot less. I am not looking for that. I am looking for the price you pay when you have someone else do it. And if you have a national place that does it who is it? ( I know how change oil) I have a 34 Maiship Trawler with a Perkins Diesel. I change that all the time..

My last one was about $35. Mobil 1 Synthetic, filter and about 20 minutes of my time draining and refilling.

Oh and while I was under the coach waiting for the oil to drain, I gave it a grease job as well. Don't know how much grease I used so can't figure that into $$$$$.

Our local Jiffy Lube type center charged the regular price, the same as a car. They checked and filled all the fluids (associated with the engine) and checked and filled the tires too. They did not lift the doghouse to inspect the air fillter, do the windows or vacuum the interior. We had to back out because the exit door to the drive thruough garage was smaller than the entrance.

So, ten years ago (before diesel) it was $29.95.

I paid for two oil changes on the rig pictured below The first was at Camping World, 100 bucks, the 2nd at a workhorse authorized service center, Full Synthetic, 65.

Just had mine done this past week at a local RV center for $124! They were supposed to do a 24 item inspection for it to be road ready. They did not fill some of the fluids so I'm not sure what they did do. I’ll check with our Jiffy Lube for my next oil change.

Except for an increase in height, your class 'C' should not be any different from a normal two - two and a half ton pick-up truck...unless you go to a RV service center. Most quick lube places have the doors that will accommodate your 'C'. Going rate here is $34.95 - 39.95 with dino squeezins and another $25 to $30 for synthetic...oil filter and lube included.

You'll probably get better service at the 'quick lube' places over a RV SC anyway.

Welcome to Irv2. Come back often with your questions and ideas. So I have done both, using the Big RV dealer service centers at like $100/change. Then I found a garage that would do this for like $35/change, but most quick oil change outfits have no room for uber large RV's like mine. I also do my change in my yard, filter and oil from a local parts store and recycle the used oil back to the parts store, costs $25/$30.
So you have options. I believe the $100/change is the going rate, cause we are RV'ers (meaning BIG $$$$), an any more this is also the hourly rate for any type of service on large vehicles.

Did you check with your local Ford dealer. Most can do it and usually have their Works or something similar available. Usually about $30 here. Most though can't handle the class A's

Our first oil change was at the big RV dealership (read:ripoff) and I think we paid about $130 when all was said and done. We won't make that mistake again.

I carry six quarts of motor craft 5-20 and a filter. I generally get a truck stop to change the oil and filter and lube the chassis for $35-40.00.

Hmm.... about $25 at current prices for 5 quarts jug of 10w-30 Pennzoil from walmart, and another $5 for the Purolator Gold Filter, and $5 for the new air filter.

I had an OLF done at Gator Ford in Tampa last year. The $69 00 seemed a little high but fair. They then hit me with about $15-20.00 in shop and disposal fees ,that's when they lost my repeat bus.
