Maybe the Obamacare folks have hijacked all of the IT folks to get their site up and running. If so then Rv.net should be back up in a month or so. (This is intended as humor, just in case someone thought it might be political)

I already did. Seriously, another site I occasionally go to has been hacked so badly that it may not be able to recover. Apparently it is an attack on V-Bulletin forums but I don't know if that would affect rvnet.

Yeah, they've been down a couple of days now so something is up over there. Been getting the same error message.

I've been a member on that forum for about 10 years and it has had many problems during that time.

I NEVER go there!

I quickly discovered that there was way TOO much back stabbing and bickering to get any useful answers form anyone.

I stick to the Monacoers and iRV2.com.

I contacted GoodSam through their Facebook page and they confirmed that the site is down, with no estimate on time to go live again. If I had to guess, I would suspect a server migration issue, but I'm not an IT professional. My dear spouse is, though!

Here is the current error... "The transaction log for database 'CFBoards' is full. To find out why space in the log cannot be reused, see the log_reuse_wait_desc column in sys.databases"

For you non-geek guys.. the board is run using a SQL Database to store all the posts and other forums info. The system keeps a transaction log in case of a database crash they can rebuild it to where it crashed. In this case the person who setup the system either did not setup the backup function to delete the transaction log or they did not create a large enough transaction log to hold all the transactions.

A SQL person should be able to have the transaction log cleared in a few minutes and the site back on line, so maybe that person is off for a few days :-)

Thanks for the explanation, Texnet. Is it possible that an in-progress server migration/malfunction could also result in such an error message?
