What is DH and DW ?

I'm new and have been reading some threads containing reference to DH and DW. They seeminly have something to do with spouses or partners so I get the H and W part but what does the"D" mean ?

Dear Husband and Dear Wife. There are others such as BIL for brother-in-law and DS for dear son. You get the picture.

Ah, it's not as simple as you may think on the surface.

That question that has as many answers as there are people with creative imaginations or issues with their partner

Like...Darn Husband, Dizzy Wife, and some that will get you a "Moderator Edit"

BTW, When Bigfoot took your picture, did you pose for him, or was it just a candid shot?
