What is the best toilet paper to use in an RV

Hello Friends! Now that I will be an owner of a MH with a bath and half what would be your recommendation as to what is the right type of toilet paper to use?? Can I use a house type two ply paper?? Or do I need to buy the type of toilet paper that is sold at the camping store, I want to make sure I do not damage or clog the black tank if I use the wrong paper. Thanks in advance!

Have always used what ever we had in the stick house. Any TP that says "safe for septic systems" will do just fine. For at least 10 years we've used the Kirkland brand from Costco with no troubles.

You can test your favorite brand. Take a couple of sheets and put them in a large glass of water, or better yet a bottle with lid. Swish them around. If the paper starts dissolving and falling apart, it's OK. Most home brands will work.

X2 If we run out on the road it's Walmarts brand that is "safe for septic tanks".

We use whatever brand SHE buys, and it certainly isn't the cheap one ply kind. Lots of water, and be relatively full when you dump so you get a good strong flow and you won't have any problem.

I also have a model with the extra 1/2 bath, so x2 on the Angel Soft and plenty of water, especially on the half bath as it has to be pumped across the width of the RV to the sewer manifold.

Septic safe brands should all be ok, but you can help if you avoid all the fancy TP types, e.g. quilted, perfumed, colored, etc. All of those are made with sturdier paper to survive the extra production processes and typically do not dissolve as quickly or completely as plain white paper.

Looks like I may be the only one that haunts Dicks/Camping world/Walmart for Thetford 2 ply. When I do find it, I buy whatever stock is there and figure out where I'll store it later.
