Wife's body work most expensive repair. If you are talking RV, I had to replace the hydrolic line on my rear slide. It had to be ordered and the bed had to be removed and a hole cut into the bottom to get to the connection. It was $1300. The old hose was too long and the installer just stuck it between two pieces of frame and over 6 years it rubber through. A 25 cent electrical tie would have prevented it. It is a 2004 Itasca 33V.

Over the last 20 years, the most expensive failures have been tire replacements due to blowouts. I don't count those though; tires are an expendable and if I had replaced them earlier, there would not have been a failure. The next most expensive was a bearing failure that caused the wheel to fall off the trailer. Cost some $900, but Lippert picked up the total expense. All other failures/defects were less than $100 apiece. There were not all that many of these.

BTW, a service contract would have been a TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY.....

$3100.00 for new tires in Canada on my way to Alaska with my newly purchased 09 Safari. Tires looked good when I picked it up but by the time I hit Edmonton had cords showing. The only reason I consider this an expensive repair bill is the same tires at home in AK would have been $1300.00. Hope their life is equal to their price.
