What is the secret for sliding the awning material in the roller?
Apparently, the wind has caused my awning to slide a little, maybe an inch or two, either in the groove where it mounts to the house, or the groove on the roller.
Regardless, I cannot get either side to slide.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
The arms do not line up anymore, since the awning is rolling at a slight angle and pulling the arms about 1/2" to the side.

When storing away your awning, pull the draw lanyard to the right or left to force the awning to favor the way you need it to rewind.

With awning full extended spray a little silicone along the roller tube grove that awning 'rib' is in
Then go to end of roller where awning material is farthest from end of roller
Hold awning material with one hand pulling while pushing endo fo roller with other hand
Repeat as necessary until edge of awning material is same distance from end of roller
Then insert a 'self taping' screw...short threaded/fat 1/4" screw....into grove on each end right next to awning material edge so it doesn't move in grove any more.

Just a silicone lube spray? Why didn't I think of that?
To 2nd poster, this is a motorized awning.

i will definitely be driving in a "set screw" when I get it centered again...this has been a hassle now for a couple of months and several tries at moving it from various angles and directions

It will move easier if you can put some slack in the awning itself so it is not pulling it so tight.

I'm going to have to reset mine as I was away from the rig and got winds of 50 mph. Pulled the awning ends out of the retaining groove then put a screw in. Not sure why Girard didn't specify that.

All good suggestions with the exception of using silicone spray. Instead, make up a 25-75 solution of liquid dish soap and water (soap being the 25%). That solution will easily wash away while the silicone may permanently stain the awning fabric

Still cannot get this to move, at either end, near the house nor out at the end of the roller.
Will it move easier in warmer weather?
It looks like it may be slowly pulling itself back toward center, since it is now only off by a half inch or so, but the arms still don't line up and enclose each other.

Try dousing the channels with a silicone spray.
