I like this modification, but can't figure out what the bracket came from.
I made one out of sheet metal. Still want to know what this is

It looks like a modified building framing corner angle. One leg of the angle has had a hole made in it by the modifier to fit the soap dispenser. Print a picture of it and take to your friendly, neighborhood home center or hardware store and show it to some one in building materials.

Home Depot has those in the harware area for wooden fences.

Here is one similar to what you have: http://www.homedepot.com/Building-Ma...atalogId=10053

Not to get too technical, but around here that piece is called a "thingamajig"...

But seriously, folks:
I agree with Ladyfitz, though it also could be from the electrical conduit department...
Looks like there are some numbers etc. on it.
I've had pretty good luck "Googling" all the printed info on a piece, which often turns up a "name".

Good luck!

Francesca

Corner angle is right or "L" bracket. It will be in the hardware section at any hardware store. Normally used to make 90 degree wood joints stronger.

Looks like a mounting bracket for a roll up window shade.

I can't see the size of the hole, but it looks like it could be a trailer connector bracket.

Google the stamped letters/numbers on it.

That's not it. It doesn't have the corner divots.

I couldn't stand it any longer- I magnified the pic, read the writing "strong tie A21Z" , and Googled it!

Shop Simpson Strong-Tie A21Z Angle Z-Max at Lowes.com

Ladyfitz wins the prize!

Pretty cheap, too.
Gonna need a good sized bit to bore out the hole for the soap dispenser, though.

Thanks everyone. I had thought it was either an conduit bracket, gas range hose bracket or plumbing bracket.

Looks like Francesca is the winner
