I simply can't win with these people. I finally got my membership card yesterday.

They spelled my name wrong!!!!!!!

When I called to complain, they were more interested in selling me insurance.

I checked out Barksdale - with the amount and terms I need, I would be at 3.4%, only .5% difference. (Used RV's add .5 point) I don't think its worth it to go through that hassle again. I'll remember them for when I upgrade in a few years.

Just talked to Barksdale Federal Credit Union and you have to live in Louisiana to get an RV loan.

And people should read the thread before sheeshing.
I reread it and do not see any "false" information in my posts.
I simply stated my rate in post #5. I was asked where I got such a rate in post #6. I replied in post #7 "Barksdale fed credit union."
Where's the "false" information?
Read post "12. Massachusetts poster says his company is on Barksdale's list. Out of state?
Take a breath, please!

Sorry pj. I have military friends and family in other states that use barksdale. Perhaps only military and la residents are eligible.
But you see how shopping around is a good thing to do. May find a lender closer to you with better rates. Good luck.

Just to add a little more information. The company my wife works for is on the list of companies whose members can join the Credit Union. We could join, but because we dont live in Louisiana, we couldnt get the good rates, but I am glad you published the information about it. It was worth checking out.

I find having a "discussion" with the sales manager is best done on the showroom floor. Especially when you have had to work your way up the ladder either thru incompetence, laziness or downright obnoxious behavior.
It tends to keep them focused on customer service. Not customer no-service.

We joined Good Sam's at CW in Burlington, WA in September. Thought we'd have an info package mailed to us or at least an email but haven't received a thing. Is this normal?
