What multimeter do you use?
Just wonder what multimeter does everybody use while troubleshoot your motorhome? Was trying to find something that will measure up to 50 amps. Any suggestion will help.

There is a difference between a multi-meter and a clamp around draw meter , I'm not sure if there is a single meter that does both, but I'll hang around and , I'm sure I'll be corrected .

I have a couple of good ones, including a clamp on ammeter, but mostly I use one of the free ones periodically offered at Harbor Freight.

I use Fluke meters. However for most around the house stuff I buy the cheapies at Lowes. They seem to work pretty good. Comparable to the Flukes I use at work. At least for the stuff I need it for.

X2 for Fluke - if they don't make it probably doesn't exist. My Model 77 from 80's is still go to for me - and their IR Gum and... They have a higher price but they last and last.
Fluke store link - http://www.myflukestore.com/
Check em out - buy something inexpensive like this Fluke
And you'll get a great multi page brochure with tons of their products with descriptions.

I have 3 Flukes and 1 Beckman so whichever one I grab first. Kinda prefer the Flukes. Amprobe clamp on amp meter.

For everyday use, I use the HF ones. For anything serious, I use my Fluke 117 True RMS. I also have AC and DC clamp-on amp meters.

My favorite meters are the Flukes, but I have a Field Piece volt/amp multimeter that I keep in my truck tool box that is pretty handy and inexpensive too.

I use a MS2108 true RMS (for inverters), in-rush current meter which also measures Hz via either clamp or direct connection. It handles absolutely everything needed for RV troubleshooting.

(Not to be confused with the cheaper MS2108A)
And a handy clamp accessory . . .

Make sure any clamp on meter you will buy will include DC amps. Many will measure AC but not DC. You will pay more for the true DC ampmeter. Just my $.02.
