What percentage below MSRP can I try to get on a new order Allegro Bus?

Just joined today. Trying to buy a new Allegro Bus 45' OP from the closest dealer to home. We are ordering a new one. What kind of discount below MSRP can I expect to get and what is considered a "good buy" discount?

Welcome to the world of RVing and welcome to IRV2. You will find a lot of useful info here as well as adventures across the continent.

I read the article below that said Rvs depreciate at different rates depending on what kind of Rv it was, travel trailer, MH, class a, b, c, etc. It also says that, "Starting with MSRP the depreciation is 30% driving it off the lot, another 10% at the end of the first year, and 6% for each year following."

http://www.rversonline.org/ArtNewUsedRV.html

So I would take the average MSRP and reduce it by 10% and see what they say.

Good luck on your purchase and that 45' Allegro will be a great home.

Not sure where you are located but the dealerships near Red Bay, Sherman RV and Davis RV have been reported discounting new orders %25 and %28 has been claimed. Demand is up so the discounts may not be as deep as they were a couple of years ago but I do know that Sherman was discounting %25 on 2014 models. Call them and ask for Andy 662-842-0310 work or 662-538-2710 cell.

25 to 28%. A lot depends on your credit rating

They tend to work on fixed markups rather than a percentage off especially if you don't have a trade they would have to sell. When I was looking at a Phaeton I was given a price that came out to about 27% give or take a little. I don't think you'll find a better price from any other dealer nation wide although a few say they will match them but I don't know if that really true.

Nice thing about both of them is they are very close to Red Bay. You can stay at Red Bay and watch your coach being built and every get a few special modifications. Those modification will be done after hours by Tiffins workers. In addition you're there and can go on the test rides. Many times you'll see things that they can fix while the coach is still on the production line.

There are many on the Tiffin forum that can give you more information plus who to contact.

Side note: If Tiffin had something like the Outlaw 38RE I'd be looking at them.

What you need to do is spec out your bus then send bids out to your dealer, Sherman RV in Mississippi, Davis RV in TN and Marlin Ingram RV in Montgomery, AL. That is the way to get the best price and all three of the above dealers are very popular with Tiffin owners all over the country. They seem to give you the best pricing and do great PDI's so think about doing that.
