What roadside assistance plan and or company do you have ??

Diesel tech brought to my attention a good roadside assistance plan and just curious what every one else has or if there are any to stay away from or beware of..

Diesel Tech mentioned coach-net.com

We have Coach Net. Never had to use their services yet but I have heard good things about them. We went with their Platinum plan which covers all vehicles in a household, so we were able to drop AAA.

We have Coach-Net. Two reasons. 1) We got the first year free for our dealer when we bought the coach. 2) We extended because they seem to have fewer complaints on the forums we monitor.
We have no first hand experience, just hoping they are as good as they claim.

Used coach net last year for a 120 mile tow. Was very pleased. Everybody has an opinion ......... use the iRV2 search window to read reams on the subject.

Red face Coach Net or Good Sam

The costs and alleged coverage of Good Sam and Coach Net are fairly close but.... if you spend any time on the RV.net Forum, which is owned and run by the folks at Camping World/Good Sam you will find GS complaints outnumber Coach Net issues by at least 10 to 1. Based on that we went with, but have never needed Coach Net.

Good Sam & AAA

We had AAA & were under the impression they didn't cover RVs. We had a breakdown & "used" GS & they failed miserably, so AAA was a back up & worked. In working with GS customer service, they have given us a year of platinum service on their dime to make up for their screw up. We'll keep y'all posted as time passes.

We have Allstate RV Roadhelp, which I believe now provides GS their service. We have used the service twice for a tow for our former class c, and service and response time were excellent. One does have to remember that in some areas we travel, there are only so many service providers who can handle an RV. Our second tow involved such a situation and Allstate did not hesitate to call and send a tow that was not one of their regular providers.
You will definitely hear more recommendations for Coach Net, and should we encounter a problem with Allstate, they would be our choice.

Good Sam allows you into their site to register complaints and sometimes get things done. Does CN offer that? Maybe that's why you see less complaining at CN, their site doesn't answer any complaints there.

I have Coach-Net and AAA Plus for backup. On one trip, I called CN for advice on an issue (not a breakdown situation) and the technician got back to me in less than an hour. Talked about the issue I was having and they provided advice that was reasonable for the situation.

That is one good thing about CN, they are not only there for breakdowns but provide assistance on the house portion of the vehicle.

I pay for Coach-Net and Thom pays for AAA RV. I wanted one for just in case and Thom wanted the other. The price is about the same for both and it's just easier for us to be sure we have coverage no matter where we might be. Have not had to use either one yet but ......
