Little Feat makes the miles fly by for me, followed closely by Van Morrison and/or Cajun music.

I second "Radar Love". It's the one I start out with when on the Harley. When we had our ski boat, it was ALWAYS Bad To The Bone immediately after launching.

We listen to Sirius/XM and a variety of channels. The last few years we have been putting books on MP3 and listen as we drive. I cannot remember the last time I played one of our many CDs.

While driving 'Music' is very rare. What isn't 'rare' is books on tape (usually CD's now). No need to buy (unless you want same) your local Library will have scads of them and can order up others through their 'share system.' There's also commercial 'Books on Tape' services that rent same for a nominal fee.

End game is things you'd never have a chance to read (in real life) you just stick the CD in the dash and off you go. Last long trip was a 16 hour straight through (and another back) drive to Montana for fishing. Went through 5 or 6 during that trip.

Sometimes to help the miles go buy I have downloaded several of the old radio shows from the website Old Time Radio Fan Old Time Radio Fan :: Free Old Time Radio Shows

shows like Dragnet, Johnny Dollar, etc. Like an audio book they help to keep my mind active and holds my interest and helps those looooonnnnngggg stretches of empty road pass buy. Just the thing to give me a little variety now and then...
