That is because these type of people really don't want to converse with you by talking to you. Their one sided conversations are solely based by talking at you!

Have 2 boys 2 and 5 years old and they're extremely energetic. Can't say I've had a problem with them around!

Very true and spot on!

I will share a little story about a trip last year and a real friendly young lady. Was outside the coach setting up our BBQ when a young lady comes from around the coach next to us and says hi. We talked for a few minutes and she left.

I went into the coach and the DW say "pretty cute", I said ah ah ah ya, she is. My wife says not her, I say really, she says i'm talking about the guy in thier coach who looks like he just got out of the shower.

Oh boy! We laughed on that one, well she did!

We are just getting back into camping and I can't wait to meet some of you pesky people out there!! Come on over to our rig, grab a chair and let's relax and chatter a while!! We can't wait to be full timers like many of you, but in the meantime I hope we gain some new lifetime chatty camping friends!!!

I've only encountered one kindly, but lonely, old gentleman who we couldn't shake off with a hint or two. A polite, direct statement solved the problem, "we're going to take off now, we took this trip to give us some alone time together. Perhaps we will see you later."

For some reason, DW isn't around much either
I'm still laughing a$$ off on that one.

Its an opportunity to learn something. We usually wave when walking by, but I wouldn't stop in unless I needed help. Some people just enjoy talking.

I've been camped in the same spot for a couple of months and my neighbor got in the habit of dropping in every time he thought of something to say. Got real old real fast. 4 - 5 times a day. He forced me to tell him to stop. I tried to be light and gentle & joke a little bit, but still had to tell him later that I was not mad at him. Uncomfortable. Mostly brought about by alcohol.
