This happened to us last month in Gatlinburg.

Thank you.
I see you're stirring again. I would shoot the owners and put their bodies in the dumpster. Rent their RV out and take the dogs in. My Jacks would soon teach them to be quiet, they don't like yapping dogs either. If they didn't conform, I guess it's doggy stew. Yorkies makes the best stew, but they don't have a lot of meat on them. If they did conform, DW would have 2 extra dish washers.

Another option would be to approach the owners and tell them how much you like their dogs and dogs in general, no matter how difficult that is for you.

Then go on to say you know and expect all dogs to bark occasionally. However, your dogs are barking a bit excessively and it has become very irritating and uncomfortable for you and you would very much appreciate if they can do what they can about it.

This makes you a very nice, dog loving neighbor. Throwing rocks at the dogs and giving them the finger will probably not help.

Failing that, you still have option #1

I am not an unfriendly person by nature, but, as others have said, there are times when I am trying to relax and read, or I am trying to study, or I am trying to work on a vehicle and really don't feel the need to fulfill someone else's need for entertainment. Nor do I feel that I should just stay home because I do not wish to be the entertainment of the day. (Besides, this is my home).

I expect a hello, and I do the same as I walk around the campground. But if I am studying/working/reading/eating, I really don't give a rat's patoot about that one time in RV camp when you had an inflammed toenail.

There, I will now turn my sensitive side back on again.

Rvers ARE a very friendly bunch. We also like to have a good laugh. That is what this thread is about. Everyone who is appalled at the behavior, needs to understand the things said here are all in fun. Life is too short to be serious all the time.

I don't mind if someone stops by my campsite and visits. If you don't want to be bothered, why don't you just stay home.
99% of this is toungue-in-cheek, a gag, a laugh..... Hence we are friendly; we are having fun on this thread. Kinda like the the thread where you make up a lie about the poster before you. WOW, that is a great one. You guys have the BEST imagination!! I have busted up a LOT reading that thread and this one!!

Don't be so serious and just have fun and come up with ridiculous ways to keep away over friendly neighbors

Confusing, isn't it?!! And here I thought that it was just a blonde thing!!

BTW, that is a coyote in your avatar.... right?? I had heard that they make great pets but the cat population always seems to drop at any camp ground you visit......

I think she may be a Dingo- some folks think they steal shoes
She's all Husky, now that you mention it there are fewer cats in the neighborhood- and fewer children as well

When these Saturday religious peeps start preaching to me when I'm working on my MH, trucks and other things around the house, I bluntly say with a frown:
"Can't you see I'm busy."

Hasn't failed yet.

I use the tried and true two-pronged " Bad Smell Plus a Rooster" strategy...

First line of defense is a strategically upwind-placed open gallon jar of:

I don't really say that... and I can't say what I really say. It's not sailor talk either.
