What tools do you travel with
Aside from the standerd screwdriver and pliers, what tools do you travel with you in the RV.

Enough that I could probably do an engine rebuild if I needed to. About half of one of the slideout tray is nothing but tools plus I carry a couple of the cheap plastic cased sets in the towed although even one of them is a 301 piece set. I have 1/4, 3/8, 1/2, 3/4 and 1" drive sockets, and torque wrenches for all of them. Probably way more than I'll ever need!

Theres a few older threads on this subject. The search box should help find them. Everyone carries different tools from sockets, pliers, electrical, pex tools....the list goes on and on.

In my opinion you only need the tools you feel comfortable using yourself.I have wrenches and basic hand tool to do basic repairs.I have built houses and changed engines but don't plan to do either on the road.

I agree but i would add a few bills. Credit cards i don't leave home without.
But cash talks a lot better tune.

The tools I have used most often include screw drivers (square drive for Newmar's love of roberson screws), assorted pliers, a US and metric socket set including extensions, electric drill with bits, volt ohm meter with current clamp, box cutter, razor blade scraper, flexible grabber, extending magnet, extending mirror, an IR thermometer, a small solder gun, tape measure and other stuff. Supplies include screws, nuts and bolts, electrical connectors, wire nuts, wire ties, electrical tape, teflon tape, really strong tape used for sealing exterior sheathing on new house construction, silicone grease and other stuff.
I also have had the need for a coachnet card, several credit cards and a handful of American dollars to deal with things that the above would not.

Great list Dave, mine is similar.
Vac,,, check what you need for various jobs. I recently had a slide issue. Got ready to go home and our slides would not retract. Dug out the books and found I needed a drill, and a 7/16" hex bit, that turns at least 2,000 rpms. Didn't have one with me. Do now.
I think if you imagine what jobs you might deal with yourself, then list the tools you would need. I have been carrying fuel filters,,, just thought about it the other day have no way to fill them with fuel,,, and don't have a filter wrench in the coach. Duh! My coach needs a thin ratchet to change the fan belt, got one coming to carry with me. etc..
