I am planning a spring trip from Indiana to Key West. Can anyone make a suggestion for a good place to stay?

Want to try the Ashland, Kentucky KOA for the first trip of the year as it is near my DD.

Definitely going back to Greenbrier River Campground in WV.

After seeing the country I'll find two places to live, sounds like a good plan.

Depends on your budget. There are state parks, Long Key is one nice one and not far from Key West. You can also spend over $2000 month at private parks. Run a search on the Florida Keys RV Parks and you can visit their websites.

We'll be in Florida Dec. thru Mar.. Have to be in Maryland for a grandaughter wedding in June. Then I think we'll do another westerly swing to the Pacific NW, ultimately ending in San Diego for next winter. Then I think we're gonna hang up the keys and do some overseas traveling while we're still able.

Oakcreekeric---We'll be at Three Flags RV Park about 30 miles away right off I90. Stayed there this past year for Sturgis and reserved the same site for next year 7/31 thru 8/12. Three Flags is a nice little rv park with deep, wide sites.

We head out in mid Jan for a month to the Lake Havasu, AZ area, Quartzsite and Yuma then on to San Diego and a slow roll up the CA coast. We are traveling with 3 rigs - caravanning with friends - which should prove entertaining.

Going to a Vietnam unit reunion in Friendship, WI in August and from there to Yakima, WA to see family and things in between. After that, down to Utah for more family and things in between and anywhere else that comes to mind before heading back to New England. Looking at 6-8 weeks total.

after reading all the threads it appears to me that most heads out west, that really surprised me because I thought it would be the coast or the mountains.

Ashland, KY KOA is okay but nothing special. Stayed there one night on our way to Louisville. Fairly new, no shade and not many amenities. Fine for an overnight stay but not much of a destination. Owner/manager was nice and helpful.

Bryce Canyon NP is in Utah. It's impossible to describe the beauty. It's something you have to see for yourself.
