We live in St. Louis, MO and we are planning a trip to Phoenix, AZ after Christmas. We hope to spend about 3 months there.

Next June will be traveling from SC to Colorado, Grand Tetons, Yellowstone and Mt. Rushmore - probably will take 5-6 weeks.

East Coast In the spring

We are headed from Traverse City, Michigan via Ontario, New Hampshire and Vermont to Mystic, Connecticut this spring. We may delay the trip until later in the summer to take advantage of a seafood festival or two. Thought we would spend a few days on the coast and drop South and back West to Gettysburg. Then start to work our way back to the North.

Summer trip is to go North from Traverse City to the Lake Superior shore and follow it west to the Porky Pine Mountains, back South to the Michigan/Wisconsin state line, cut to the North shore of Lake Michigan, backaches the Mack to the lower and home.

Glacier National Park

We'll be heading to Glacier NP next summer.

I was wondering if Hwy 2 from Spokane, WA to Columbia Falls, MT is suitable for a 40' motorhome with a toad?

Or do I need to head East on I-90 to St. Regis and come in from the South on 135-200-382-28.

Looks like those are my choices.

Is there another way?

No problem on Hwy 2. I've made the trip several times with our old Monaco pulling a 24' trailer, at least as far as Whitefish.

We (DW and I) are flying into Phoenix, Az. from Thailand in late March, picking up the MH, and driving to southern Az./Mx. for a day. Then going to S.C. to see relatives. Then up to NYC, upstate NY/Niagara Falls. Then down to Central Illinois to see family for a couple of weeks. Then off to Deadwood, S.D., Mt. Rushmore , Yellowstone N.P., Then back thru Vegas, to S. Ca.! And Selling the MH to a good friend who wants it very badly! And flying back to our home in Thailand! Subject to change at any time! hahahahaha!!! Rail!

I think we will be doing a week or so in Williamsburg Va., sometime in the beginning of October. And a bunch of trips to 1000 trails in Hershey, Pa.
May add other locations as 2015 proceeds.

Have a great time in Alaska !!!! Have not been able to go there camping yet, but still hope to. Have been there 3 times, 2 with work for a total of about 60 days, and the wife and I went on a cruise/tour for 14 Days. You will really enjoy that trip, I guarantee it!! Hope you have a good camera to take the memory shots. I have about 2000 from my trips. Happy trails to you. I am GREEN with envy.
