Well, it was an expensive sewer hose so most people probably didn't see the value in it. The Drainmaster is almost a direct copy of it except that it uses the "cam lock" fittings. You'd have to saw off the old bayonet from your termination to use it (I personally would have a hard time abandoning something that's worked forever). I've seen some blog posts that suggest the jury is still out as far as how good this is. Here's a satisfied blogger who I follow who is very happy with it:
