Old Bounder:Power Gear leveling controler circuit board. $30 worth of wiring supplies at Radio shack for the new board design.
New Bounder: Sewer hose, surge protector, 50amp to 30 amp adapter, levels, and a screw to fix the holder that the wife accidently ripped off the wall.

a new paper air filter

I was taught at a recent seminar that paper air filters for diesel RV motorhomes should be discarded after 2 years from manufacture date. Any ideas about this?

If it has the flow sensor on it go by the sensor, if not go by the recommended mileage, keeping in mind that dusty areas will plug a filter faster and the mileage is figured on 'normal' conditions.
I keep a spare for my truck just in case.

I would never leave an air filter in for 2 years. Most units have an air restiction indicator telling you when air flow is reduced.Thats the time to change or when visually dirty. Or maybe you have very low annual miles driven. In that case maybe the filter manufactuers have a 2 year maximiun life. If im running the rig 2 years is way to long for me.

I have already posted on another site about this. We had a nice diesel pusher on our lot. It had a slight knock when you first cranked the engine. It was under warrenty, so I called owner of the dealership and said I thought we should take it in and have it checked. I got a call from Cat. the next day saying the air filter had had not been changed and had disintegrated and got sucked through the engine. This was a maintainence issue and not covered by the warrenty.
