I've had one for about 8 years. Never any problem. Just be careful of your fingers when you collapse it.

I also have had one for many years, and believe Steve when he says watch your fingers. Great unit though. Tom Mackie

I too have one of these black housing units sitting in the coach as we speak. Waiting for the temps to go up a bit so I can install it and have the silicone cure correctly.

I've never had much luck in fact no luck at all with any type of automatic light but since Fleetwood no longer has the yellow lens for the factory door light this one seems to be the nicest looking one and about the right size so I'll try it and see plus the newest style uses an LED for the same price.

Pretty much the same reason I bought this one too. My amber porch lens just fell out one day and when I went to put it back I found the light housing warped and unable to hold the housing in. as my light is no longer made I just bought this one as it's either motion or standard function and it looks good as well. We'll see i guess.

The bling look with the weird ceiling detail reminds me of leisure suits. Somehow this has become part of their design and it needs to go. Maybe they can reduce the cost and improve the looks. Bet the designer wears a leisure suit!

Picture hangers and double sided tape to hang a pic in the RV. Velcro and those Command things refused to stick to the wallpaper.

No double stick tape her but command picture hangers would not work on my wallpaper either.

Thom had the last 2 weeks off work so we got several things done.
Changed out the 1500 w inv/char to a 3000 w one (the old owners had a 1.6kWz microwave/convection put in, appearently the old will not power that correctly errrrr)
Put in a new transfer switch
Put in a 50amp Surge Guard
Finally got rid of the 19 yr old mattress. Tried lots of new ones and since ours is a true queen we could go with any brand we wanted. We finally settled on a Sterns & Fosters pillow-top. LOVE IT!!
Or course since the new mattress is a pillow-top we needed new sheets. The old ones, which are only about 9 mths old will not fit. We now need the deep pocket sheets.
Oh and one thing we got from a very old post of mine looking for drawings, someone on here emailed me a very nice and readable 68 page group of electrical drawings for a Monaco 93-95 signature series coach. Most of what I could find had been not so readable at times but you make do with what you can get sometimes. So this was VERY nice to get.

It was explained to me when I asked the same question about the loud and busy interiors that the primary reason is to hide imperfections. Motorhomes are constantly flexing and therefore trim moldings and panel seams don't always match up so the congested interior designs helps hide it or keep you attention focused elsewhere.
