Following the advise given in another thread, this morning I ordered the 50 amp surge protector this morning. Portable 50-amp Surge Protector with Voltage Protection - Progressive EMS-PT50C - Surge Protectors - Camping World Also ordered another propane hose as the external propane outlet is one of the quick disconnect varieties and a new heavier duty sewer hose and I sprung a leak on the last overnightstay prior to getting back to Vegas.

Just ordered a new memory foam mattress for our bed. That last trip convinced me the OE junk has to GO.

That's going to be high on the list of things to do as soon as I get it back from the shop. It may be a bit difficult as it has and unusual size. Best definition I can give of the size would be a Cal King Short. It's 72 by 76.

Just, and I mean just, ordered a new Dometic Brisk Air II, 15,000 btu a/c upper unit.

Checked with Dometic and it a direct bolt down/plug in replacement for our old unit.

Old one was short-cycling the compressor. Added a hard start capacitor, better, but not good. Ran all the diagnostics I could.
It will run one cycle from a cold start. Noisy and rumbly. Won't restart the compressor after that without a complete shutdown.

It's a 1989 unit, so it had a decent life. Had to replace the start capacitor (blown top resister?) when we got it, 2 years ago, so it was probably on it's way out then..

Ours is 72"x 80", and has to be 8" deep or less because it goes under cabinets when the slide is closed.

I tested it by cooking some steaks and veggies at home, and it works wonderfully.

Puts out some massive heat considering its size, something like 22,000 BTUs.

Impressive....

By the way, if you already have one of those Coleman Roadtrip grills, line the bottom with aluminum foil.

Makes cleanup a snap !!

Got a Roadtrip, never thought of foil. Thanks. Bought and installed some day night blinds, three windows in the rear, and two big windows in the lounge, for around $300. Now I gotta make wooden pelmets to hide the mechanism. Also an iPad holder for the front so I can use the iPad for a GPS.

We watched both tornados on the OKC TV station's helicopter news footage. Really scary stuff when you see it happening in real time and the head meteorologist starts getting nervous.

I'm glad my RV came with weather band radio. If the weather is iffy, I sleep with the radio on low and the warning tone will wake me. Living in Oklahoma for 28 years taught me to watch the sky and keep the radio or TV on.

After a couple trips, we gave the Newmar queen mattress to a neighbor couple and put in a standard queen temperpedic cloud. It is pretty thick and I didn't even think about it. It just fits snug under the closet doors with the slide in.

Oops... left home on a business trip in the coach and forgot to grab the power cable from the garage. I'm at my conference and just received my Amazon Prime next day delivery of a 50 Amp to 15 Amp power adapter.
