Rand McNally RV GPS ... sorry Alpine was obsolete when Winnebago factory installed it ...the only map update Alpine ever put out for it was in 2005 ...$300 for a marginal improvement that did not include Canada. The Alpine is now disconnected, the RVND is mounted over the Alpine screen (temporarily) and we head into Canada on Saturday.

I just purchased 4 new tires. They are Michelin 245/70 R19.5 XZE LRH. Thank goodness for the FMCA Michelin Advantage program discount (almost $100 per tire). I went in to buy only the two front tires and get an alignment. I found out that two of the rear tires were dated 2004 so I had them replaced while I was there. (I bought the motorhome only 4 months ago.) Now I have 4 - 2013 tires and 2 - 2011 tires and a good 2007 spare. Now to find a way to pay for them. Whew!

We got the whole house water filter a little while ago but just got all the extra hoses and connections to put it on the MH.

Now Thom just has to find a little time to put it in.

3 Patio Planters from Lowe's (they are under a different name at Home Depot), they are about 24x20 and 10 inches deep with casters so we can move them around. Also just bought some rabbit guard fence since where we are at right now does have rabbits that hop around and already bit the top off of a pepper plant that was just starting out .... Got peppers, onions, spinach, tomatoes, carrots, green beans and snow peas growing. Not a lot of each but enough to feed us for a few, lol. Thought since we are staying here for a few months or so that it would be a good time to grow some fresh stuff.

Barbara, just out of curiosity, did the dealer say to put the XZE LRH on? I just wondered why instead of the XRV. Maybe the load range?

I really don't know the answer to that question. This purchase took about a month and involved many phone calls both to FMCA and Strouhals Tires. I had a piece of rubber come off of an inside dual tire after I left the campout in Athens. I went to the Walmart parking lot in Hillsboro and called AAA. The first repairman was unable to change the tire so they had to call someone from Corsicana. Eventually they did get the spare on, but if I hadn't had a spare I would have been stuck there.
I did ask about the load range and asked for the best for my MH. It is 35 ft. long with 2 slides so I know there is a lot of weight. I just want to be safe!

A search for that model # came up empty, but Hunter makes a Model 41556 that I found for the same price on Amazon.com

Thanks for the great find! My Dometic is bad also.

Good looking Sportster Jim. Need to ditch the crossover pipe and stock exhaust though. Maybe some drag pipes for those sleepy CGs
