I bought a set of those too. Got tired of the 2x12s cracking.

SkiSmuggs,
The Fabulous Fan people were at Winnebago GNR in July. They presented at a session. I received their brochure at the session, and the next day went to their booth in Friendship Hall where I purchased the Fabulous Range Vent Fan for $180. This was less than the Fantastic Fan would cost and it performed triple-duty... range hood exhaust, an exhaust fan, plus a bright LED light and night light. (I guess that would be four functions :-)

I know they said in the session that after the Fantastic business was sold to Atwood a few years ago after Larry's brother Steve passed, that Larry and some of the other former employees started the Fabulous Range Vent operation.

They said they planned to vend at other rallies. Yes, they are now ready to sell to consumers.
I sure like the vent. I guess I was one of the first to purchase one. I like it! It vents much quieter than my original, esp on the low 'cooking' vent speed. On high it is louder than on low (not as loud as the original tho) and does a good job of exhausting our rig. Both the vent and light work off the battery.
That is all I know. Again here is the website, email and phone number. You could call and ask them specifics. I'm just a satisfied customer telling my experience. :-)

Set of Bal X Chocks. I'm really hoping that cures the squishy feeling as we walk around. You can actually see the tires moving back and forth.

Deal of the Week

When I bought the Beaver, it came without a Combo Washer/Dryer. I've been looking around and my local RV Shop I deal with had a Splendide 6000 sitting out front. It was missing the chrome door ring and the timer was sticking. I said I'd take it for $200. I found a door on line and ordered it for $100. I went to get the washer today and they sold it yesterday. They had put my name on it but the wind blew the tag away and another sales guy sold it. They told me to bring the door in and my receipt and they would pay me for the door I had ordered. I was a bit PO'd but it was nice they offered to take care of my expenses.

A half hour later, they phoned me and asked if I would be interested in a 1 year old Splendide 2100XC that was used twice. I said uh....yes! He said a guy just came in with a newer 5th wheel and wanted to have the washer pulled out to make room for more storage. He asked me what I would pay. I said I'd be willing to pay $300. He called me back 10 minutes later and said "It's yours And we'll still pay you for the door you ordered"!

I checked on line, price for this unit was $1520 CAD plus tax. Good score!

We just added a wheelchair/scooter lift to the back. I still need to get it wired up this week.

I bought awning lights and, soon after, a dimmer switch for them when I was afraid I'd blind my neighbors with the 40w bulbs.

Armor All, vinyl cleaner restorer and some assorted stainless nuts and bolts. I am trying to get rid of the rusty fasteners. I guess that's what you might call perfume on a pig?? It actually works!!

Bought a beautiful beige and brown outdoor carpet and treated myself to a foldable rocker so I can sit outside and enjoy myself. I'm 5'1" and most chairs keep my feet dangling but this rocking chair is wide enough for my large frame and short enough for me to rock back and forth. Loved it on my last camping trip.

A few pages back, I made a post about installing a Jack antenna - replacing the batwing. After the post, I contacted King controls and we determined that the Jack was faulty. They have sent me a new one (didn't even have to send the old one back). I'll go to the post office tomorrow, pick it up and then put the new one on. More to come on this.
