The little but important things.

Let's see.... Wheel Chocks, miniature air compressor operating off of 12V, wireless home phone, progressive power protection, Complete tool kit to supplement my tool kit of spares from the garage. Then the important things (according to DW) such as matching bathroom towels, kitchen towels with rugs to match of course. The special thing we both agreed on was a professional carpet and furniture cleaning that made it look like new inside (compliments of matching rugs and kitchen towels of course). Oh how could I forget my $10 ceramic heater from a neighbor garage sale ....

Talking New Toad

Just traded in my wife's old 2002 Chevy Cavalier for a 2014 Chevy Captiva. Finally a toad that I am comfortable riding in.

Next will be new tow setup with a new braking system. I'm thinking about a Blue Ox Alpha with the SMI Stay and Play.

Hey Aggie Dad--I use and love my Blue Ox Alpha. I would recommend that you consider the DeltaForce braking system too (DELTA FORCE | SMI Manufacturing Inc.) I don't have this yet--I'm using the Blue Ox Patriot, but I'm seriously thinking about upgrading since I saw this in my buddy's toad. It's a sweet setup...

That Auto Fan Aftermarket Kits for Coleman ® RV Air Conditioners looks pretty neat. I never knew they had anything like that. I always hated the fan running constantly in all the non ducted A/Cs I've had over the years. In looking at the F.A.Q.s, it does mention that it causes extra wear on the fan motor and fan capacitor, which really aren't designed for continuous off and on duty, in those units. I'd guess if either one does go bad, it wouldn't be that big a deal to find a heavier duty replacement.

I found the link after another night of constant fan. During the tx day the unit never cycles, but, at night-heaven. SLEEP!

A new sewer hose to replace my leaky Rhino hose (trying Valterra this time), and all the ingredients to make a heated fresh water hose for winter camping, including a new 25' deluxe freshwater hose, foil tape, heat tape, and flexible foam pipe insulation. I followed the guide of our trusty RVGEEKS friends (

A replacement Coleman Mach A/C for the front of the MH. And a replacement door handle for our Splendide...it really does stay locked for a couple minutes after it shuts off. Waiting two minutes it cheaper than replacing the plastic handle. And it took an hour or so to replace the handle.

Also added a new adopted 21 month old boy.

A new HMDI 4x4 Matrix to the tune of $520. It lasted two years before it expired. I hope that the new one is better. The replacements are hard to find

Shampoo/Conditioner/Body wash dispenser, wicker like baskets to hold can goods etc. in the cabinets and a used black plastic aerobic stepper for those sights where the front end has to be up high and the first step up is a doozy. I will need to add some non-slip material to the surface. Add that to the list for the next trip to the store!
