Wanabee FTer: Yes, you are correct on both counts.

jminyard: I got both of them from Camping World. Total for both was about $15.

Hope they do a good job when I finally get to use them !

Well I bought some plastic pipe, solar lights, paint, and a piece of pine board. I put it all together and wound up with this light post and sign.

Getting ready to go pick 'er up from the shop. The carb on the generator had gone belly up and based upon advice, I also had a fuel shut off installed like is on portables so I can run the fuel out of the carb between uses.

Thank you very much.

Well maybe, but,. . . I have about $60 in materials and over 15 hours of work. I don't think anyone would want to pay what I would have to charge.

I don't think I'm interested in making the post/light. But I would consider making a sign. Making the sign was kind of fun. I made the sign myself because of the quotes I was given to have one made. I was able to buy the letter guides, wood, paint and polyurethane for less than half of what I was quoted.
