I live in TX, but my insurance underwriter is based in Florida, so I have the same windshield coverage. Still... I've been resisting the replacement option even though I have had 3 chips repaired, one of which is a crack in the shape of a "C" in the lower left corner of my windshield (Driver's side). It is way down in the corner, and I'm sure it extends to the very end of the window on one end, so it can't really "creep" much further. I hate the looks of it, but I fear a new windshield installer may not be able to seal a new one well enough, and I've read that replacement windows can be of substandard quality.

Eventually I'll get a chip that's in the wrong place or simply can't be fixed, in which case I'll bite the bullet and get a new window. For now, I keep chugging along. These huge windows installed virtually vertical just beg for rock chips so it is inevitable.

The Dexter EZ Flex equalizer and wet bolt kit from eTrailer.com. Installed today by McLeod's Spring & Chassis for $175. They installed from a pit so all zerks are on the inside so wheels don't have to be removed and they hit all zerks with a grease gun at the end. It took them 2.5 hours so I feel my money was well spent as it would have taken me a full day.

Oh, and a Viewstar 3024 PWM controller to replace my one-trick Solar30 controller. I installed it after returning home from the EZ Flex install.

The 5vr is a 2002 so this year--we bought a new refrigerator and new furnace. The mother board of the A/C has been replaced. So we should get a few more years out of it. We keep it clean. The decals are still pretty and are not faded nor curled even though it is stored outside. So I am not ashamed to drive up to the campground gate.

I just placed the order for the components necessary to upgrade my internet connectivity. My "parts list" includes a Cradlepoint IBR600LPE-VZ Mobile Broadband Router, a Weboost DriveG-X cellular signal booster and an AP Double Cell/LTE/WiFi Antenna. The router provides an inbuilt wireless access point on the LAN side - and broadband modem for a connection to Verizon cellular network. The purchase includes configuration, setup and registration of the cellular connection with Verizon and bench testing of the setup. All I need to do is mount the electronics in the coach - and mount the antenna on the roof of the coach. It's not a cheap solution - but it's about as "industrial strength" as you can get in a mobile internet setup.

We just ordered 3 vertical MaxxAir window vents for the Southwind. The MaxxAir covers were installed by DH the other day.
