It is bolted to the frame. It is not a Ubolt but looks to be 3/8 or a little more thick. Probably thicker than most frames or base plates. Yes it was purchased somewhere on the web, sold and purchased as tow bar brackets. I'm sorry I can't remember the site. We have towed over 30k miles so far with them. As far as hard braking I think in theory all the force would be pushing back to the jeeps frame at this point I believe the tow bar pins would be the weak link. I thank you for your concern. This is plow is now attached to the same place on the frame as the brackets were and the plow brackets are half the thickness.

A cube heater so we can use electric to heat the unit rather than the Furnace. Also Door Lifts for all the cabinets.

Did not buy "for" the RV, but it fits in the back. It is an Orien Reeper, a street legal UTV.

What was the last thing I bought for the RV ?

Well I hope you have a few minutes. FYI all these within the last six months. We have owned since a year ago Nov 2015

New carpet front to back.

Removed original small couch and replaced with full sized dual electric reclining couch slightly shorter than most 80 inches.

Removed the bench dining area and replaced with cabinets against the wall and stand alone small home made pedestal table with two nice stools.

Removed barrel chair and put a small 3 drawer cabinet there and now put the TV on it much better viewing than where it was.

With the cabinets in dining area and where barrel chair was we pick up the lost storage when removing the dining benches plus they are drawers and far easier to access than the benches.

200 watt inverter now can watch TV during stop over at wally world.

Found a combination lock to replace the traditional key lock on the outside storage compartments, plan on putting a extra door key in that compartment so now can just put in combination. .walla not locked out.

A torque multiplier to get lug nuts off if I decide to change my own tire.

Shower head.

Self install seat covers for drivers and copilot chair.

Small pancake air compressor.

Almost forgot, dolly to pull car when not pulling bike, with plans to modify so bike can go on the front of dolly and car in back.

Working on replacing all window treatments.

Will be purchasing Wingard Pathway 2 portable satellite shortly.

Well, let's see

We started with a 30 yr old 5er, so it would be quite a list! Last couple of months, Pulled the carpet & installed new flooring, added a genset, battery & gas tank, Compact gas grille, new kitchen stove & new tv antenna. Today we install all new self adjusting brakes & repack wheel bearings.

I picked up and installed safety latches to the cabinet doors above the dinette. On occasion, they would pop open while we're driving and pots, pans and other stuff would fall out. This would be hazardous if someone were sitting at the dinette.

Does Paying the loan on the RV count as buying something for your RV?

Piece of advice Stay away from Santander Consumer USA they are thieves.

Bought a pair of Bergman porch style lights to mount on each side of the unit at the rear down low to illuminate the area around the back end of the trailer when backing in at night. Had these on our last TT and they made a huge difference in seeing where the back end of the unit was in the dark. Ran a pair of wires from the battery back to the lights and they have their own switch for individual on and off.
