Hi, The solids bin is good for 60~80 uses, the liquids are visible in the front and are emptied whenever needed. The solids can be dumped in a bag and simply put in the trash, where it continues to compost and eventually becomes soil.

Here is a GREAT video series that explains everything about this specific toilet, from a full time RVing couple that swears by it.

I got the Nature's Head toilet with an extra urine bottle, brand new, for $960 on eBay. We about choked on the price and I even considered building my own as I've seen others do in YouTube videos, but Maria wasn't going to let that happen, ha! ( Happy wife = Happy life )

For solar, we have 3 panels on the roof that are 480 watts total, the rest are ground mounted/deployed .. this way we can still have solar coming in if we are parked in the shade by deploying the ground mounted panels out in the sun.

I installed the solar. Started with the Solar Extreme 480 watt kit from Go Power. Bought it on Amazon, no tax, free delivery. Then I added a 120 watt solar suitcase from Eco-Worthy. That gave us 600 watts & it worked well for us but we wanted more. Next I bought the 400 watt kit from Renogy. It's meant to be roof mounted I suppose, but with just a few simple mods they are now 2 panel foldable suitcase type panels with legs, 200 watts each, for ground mounting. These are connected to the battery bank via simple alligator clips from their charge controllers.

Once I had the initial kit completely installed I called a local electrician who came and hooked the smart switch into the RV's power panel, all good and working, excellent!!

Would love to see some pics with it all deployed...

A Toad

Bought our 36' Monaco Dynasty (new to us in March 2015) and took it on a few short (two-night) journeys and then a two-week trip in Sept.-Oct. 2015.
Not having a get-around vehicle along wasn't such a big deal on the overnighters but a real pain on our longer trip. (Yes - I realize that y'all already know this...)
Bought a 2001 Hyundai Santa Fe (base model with FWD, 5-speed) as our first toad. Solid vehicle, economical and in good condition.

Screen Door Clips

I finally found a source for the plastic clips that hold the removable panel from my screen door. These clips are plastic and break easily over time. These replacements measure slightly larger and 50 for $10.00 is a supply that should last a long time.

New pressure regulator for the LP tanks. At first it was just a single leaking hose, then discovered both hoses had cracked O rings (pressure fit and non-replaceable. Then the regulator wasn't working (probably did something to it messing with multiple hoses. Much nicer to have an upgraded unit with standard fittings.

Bought some more LED lights to replace the porch and step lights and added a short multicolor strip under the steps to increase the light as needed. Had to replace the city water connection as the spring self destructed blocking water from entering. Heading to the Arizona Marketplace in Yuma tomorrow to buy more goodies...

30 amp 30' extension cord from CW. Cheaper to buy a whole new one on sale than just buy the replacement ends.

Found a POW/MIA Flagg in red/blk to add to the pole, Can any one tell me the difference between the White/blk and the red/blk flag's? Flying all three. Found some sheeting to go into the windshield too help deflect the heat its 1/4 in thick. I wanted 8 feet but the guy sold me a roll that is 10 feet and fits great. Don't look half bad compared too some we have seen. It cuts the heat down by at least 1/2 in the front of the coach.

After a lot of expense and frustration, I gave up and replaced the old (9 year) Thetford toilet with a Dometic 310. Some times you win......sometimes you lose. Sometimes repair parts work, sometimes they don't.
