David Force at RV Cooling Unit Warehouse. He's a really nice guy and seems to be one of these old school guys that would rather talk on the phone than diddle with email. He explained everything in detail about how these things came about, who did the engineering, testing criteria, etc.

5 year warranty with option to extend, but I don't know what that means yet. I have high hopes for this one.

Even if I decide to go compressor in the future I can likely sell this one; working, for what I have into it. So it works out all the way around.

New right rear brake caliper and disk rotor. Ouch! Hopefully have them installed by next weekend. This will complete the full replacement and repair of my brake system and then I can start something else.

Two new 290/80R22.5 Toyo steer tires to replace the "Bad Year" G670 295 that blew out at 4years 5 months. Axle weighed well within specs. Impeccably kept and monitored! New Alcoa 22.5 AL/MG rim and Centramatics. Full bus alignment, drive and steer axles. Air supply line to passenger brake cylinder. Sheet metal, undercoating, 12 and 10 gauge wiring and plugs, connectors, etc. etc. Landing light and bezel. Just starting to purchase supplies for fiberglass bodywork. DuPont paints and primers! Thanks be to GOD above for Saf-T-Plus steering stabilizer, it saved our lives and our bus.

Did the 4 year old B-Y tires sit out in the sun? The sun kills tires early regardless of brand. Toyos will come apart even quicker if not protected from the sun.

Yeah, we have one we need to replace. Didn't help that the damned thing was made of plastic.

I replaced all of mine with metal ones from Home Depot. 2" x 10" iirc. Seems like they were only about $5 or so each. Looks a whole lot better than the plastic ones too.

The key word "impeccably kept". For everyone's info. Never exposed to uv other than travel; two sets of tire covers on each tire. One weatherproof cover, one full cover exterior over the wheel wells. Also periodical washing and treatment with 303 protectant. This was a tire failure, with research you'll find a high failure rate on the G670's manufactured in Buffalo NY. There are several related deaths since the inception of the G670 designed to replace the failure of the GT design. They came with my bus, not my choice.

Spent the week in the mountains of Asheville.
Stopped by Waynesville and picked up a Cricket for the RV.
Great time at Mama Gerties on top.
