2 new folding chairs to replace the well used used chairs I bought some years ago at a rummage sale.
Winegard WIFI extender on sale at Camping World. I checked Amazon and then went to CW to compare prices and found the unit was on sale and I hadn't gotten the sales brochure on it. Paid the same as most on Amazon when tax was figured in.

Added three 200 watt solar panels Now with 600 watts and 6 house batteries should be much better boondocking with the Samsung refer installed last year.
From Costco a single induction burner for the kitchen. Will see how that works.

Why did you switch from Costco 6V batteries to Trojans as opposed to just adding more Costco batteries? You know Costco batteries are lifetime as long as you bring them back before the warranty expires???

phil, I have been having a hard time keeping the Costco batteries charged. the auto gen start was kicking on in the early morning hrs 4-5 with the batteries at 12.1 amps. I have been learning how to minimize the ghost amps being used with kill switches on all the tv, stereo and other parasitic amp use to no avail. I found when I was in Quartzite I was running my gen set for 6 to 8 hrs each day. more than most of the others in our group there.
as for the warranty I took them back twice before and now for the third time. Costco is great but I think with the residential refer I installed last year I just need more amp hrs. the Trojans give me 780 with 6 and the Costco 440 with four.
We will see as I am headed out for a couple months and hope to do a fair amount of boondocking.
hope this helps,
PM me if you have more question if you would like.
Steve

Which refridgerator do you have?
We have 600 amp hours using four Lifeline 6v and have been thinking of installing a Samsung 18 cu ft fridge. Is this sufficient battery capacity?

What about the soon to be purchased Garmin dedicated RV GPS and the silverleaf engine monitoring system. And don't forget about the new HUD's, they'll be a must have.

LOL.....I just saw the HUDs that have hit the market...WOW. I'm fighting the urge for sure, I'm a sucker for trick technology. Unfortunately, I have to set aside some money for our upcoming motorcycle track day season. My wife and I work on average of 18 to 20 events (9 or 10 two day weekends) and between the fuel bill for getting there, the gas for the bike and the tire budget.....oh my, the tire budget, not to mention food, I've got to reel it in on the RV spending right now. Race tires for the motorcycle are close to $375 a set and I'll go through at least 3 or 4 a season on the rear and at least two on the front. Anyway, headed out this morning to get a set of 4 Maxxis 8008 tires for the new trailer. I'm getting the Trailer King tires that came with it, OFF before I start using it this spring.
BTW....already bought the Garmin 760 about two months ago!

Yea, me too and I don't even have an RV! Also got a tow car - Honda CR-V and a small electric leaf blower I picked up as Costco for a song to clean the toppers and outdoor carpet, and again don't even have an RV.

I doubt the batteries caused your problem other than needing more amp hours. Costco batteries are simply Interstate batteries which are a fine product. Parasitic drains could only be caused by outside drains or possibly a battery short, which is very rare with a young battery, still under warranty. Deep cycle batteries are a little harder to charge due to their ultra thick plates. Trojan batteries are great too but no better than Interstates. I too run a house type refrigerator but I have four of the large 6D deep cycle batteries from Napa. They are on a constant float charge courtesy of my solar system on my sundeck at home. Don't forget to run an equalizer charge to your wet cell batteries once a year. Never equalize a glass mat or sealed type battery. Good luck!

Did the Pioneer fit in the same hole that the Magnadyne came out of, or does it require dash modifications

4 new Maxxis 8008 235/80/16 tires for the T.H....yesterday. Mounted and balanced. The Trailer Kings are now officially off the trailer and will be going on Craigslist, if a guy that I work with doesn't want them. He only uses his trailer once or twice a year, so they may work out for him. And yes, I've told him that they are certainly not a high quality tire. No surprises!
