Thumbs up Thermostat

I just purchased a Dometic analog thermostat for my forward AC/Furn system. I'm hoping it's the thermostat that will fix my cycling problem, if not it's up on the roof to swap out the AC starter capacitor. Wish me luck!

I've been nursing my genset for almost a year and a half. The verdict on the last problem was either the rotor or the stater and the only way to find out was to take it out and tear it down. It was more money then I wanted to put into the old item, so I just sat on the delemia (SP). I found a coach with a bad roof and a couple of soft spots in the floor, but a good gennie so I now own another coach that I'm going to part out beginning with the genset for me. Todays job is to try to get the fridge to cool down. I'm hopeing that when I'm done with this project the genset is free.

New Rubber

Pair of rear sway bar bushings (the blue ones) from ebay. Found that the old ones are gone while attending to something else under the MH. Should improve the ride a little. Fronts are fine, heard that the rears need replacing every few years. Also a new set of UniRoyals all around.

Just Another Old Doggy, Don

Flowmaster 50 Series Big Block mufflers

I had 2 Flowmaster 50 series big block mufflers installed with all new dual 3” pipes and double wall chrome tips on my Flatnose Frank RevCon project.

Looks and sounds amazing, low, throaty sound, but quiet and nearly imperceptible at cruise speed in the coach!

Luna’s Mufflers in San Jose, CA, gave me a gift in the form of a baby chrome tip on the generator spark arrestor! Great service and prices.

That stuff works well. We have it for most of our windows plus I just installed it on the ends of our slides that Keystone so dumbly painted black. I'm using 3M hook and loop to attach it to the slides as even the 'industrial strength' Velcro brand stickum wont stay stuck in the sun's heat. There is a 12 degree difference before and after on a 90 degree day. As a note, most Home Depots carry it at about $24 a 2 foot wide x 25 foot roll https://www.homedepot.com/b/Reflectix/N-5yc1vZ19n

If you just need a small piece of Reflectix, most Ace Hardware stores sell the 2’ and 4’ wide by the foot. It has many uses so I always have some extra in my tool storage bay.

How is the reflection used? Inside a cabinet and pushed up against the inside wall of the coach body?

Red Loctite for the eight 5/16 bolts that hold my kitchen table base together ... got tired of tightening them.

A new bottle of 303 UV protection for tires and trim and truck interior.

Makings of a slip joint that will separate without damage the next time I forget to disconnect the hose between my truck water tank and the 5th wheel before driving away.

Some dowel to make a coat rack next to the RV door (for cat leashes, water carriers, ball cap, USB charger cables, light coats, etc.).

A heavy duty manual throw-over switch to switch between inverter and shore power.

A second Anker super brite lithium/led flashlight as a bedside offensive weapon should I need to confront an intruder at night (it's bright enough to temporarily blind someone coming in with wide-open pupils).
