NEW springs for the HWH jacks which appears to help alot with the time it takes for the jacks to return to park position.

Thumbs up More stuff

Bought a new 4x4 Jeep to tow. Had it rigged for towing with lights/turn signals. Had an Invisibrake installed. Bought a twist on Thetford macerator and had a connection wired in the water/sewer bay.

I bought a new Winegard batwing replacement head. It appears that with the passage of time, the amplifier on the batwing went bad. Replacing it meant I received two more television stations.

Wandering thru local (Richmond/Rosenberg TX @ 59) Home Depot I came across 6x20 rolls of sun screen fabric with wrong price - about half. Only Saddle Tan color (38398 72020 0)had wrong price. So two more projects for the Mod thread.

How is it one careless match can start a forest fire but it takes a whole box to start a campfire?

Gas struts for the compartment doors on the drivers side. On our Thor ACE, the 4 compartment doors on the drivers side have no latches or struts of any kind, presumably because they could get caught under the slide. I was tired of holding them up with my head or wedging a broomstick every time I dumped the tanks, took on propane or checked the genny oil. The inside of the doors is fairly soft plastic so I reinforced the corner with a 2x4 inch piece of thin tinplate from Home Depot, held on by construction adhesive and several short sheet metal screws. This gave me a solid base to attach the gas strut pivot. I prevent accidental slide deployment while a door is open by the highly technical solution of a post-it note with NO in big letters which I stick over the slide switch. Think Jack Swigert in Apollo 13.
