More than once I've been informed the U.S. Flag should not be flown after dark, unless lit. I actually knew that, but wasn't sure it pertained to the Flag flown on top of my RV. Well, it does. Now I'll be in compliance with Federal Law.

After a hassle with the County and the town where I live, I now have 50 amp service at my house for my RV. Now I can run everything I need without having to fire up the generator (except when I exercise the generator on a monthly basis under a half load.) Next project is to concrete a pad for it. That should be coming up next month.

Duxtop 1800-Watt Portable Induction Cooktop Countertop Burner. Plan to move crab cooking operations outside of the motorhome galley when we go to the coast in a couple of weeks.

A Shroud for the rear air conditioner... $140. Front one is cracked but maybe fixable, the rear was totally gone with only small pieces under the screws that held it down.

Labor-day weekend I had reservations at my favorite RV park in Pahrump Nevada. From Vegas there are two ways to get to Pahrump... one is "over the hump", a 5,000 foot hump with up to 7% grade or the 20 mile longer, around the mountain route. It was kinda windy but that's never really bothered me... the ol' Bounder tracks very true even in a 30 mph side wind, but on this day about 40 miles out, the wind was ferocious. Wind changing direction back and forth and unbelievable gusts... at one point a gust so strong, I thought OMG! this is it... I'm going over. That was the scariest moment I've EVER had in a motorhome. When I arived home the following tuesday I talked to a friend thats stationed at a tiny air base about 5 miles from where I had that terrible moment... He said "oh yea, that was bad, we had gusts up to 80 mph!"

Lori-
Just a clarification. You are correct that the flag should only be shown at night if it is lit, but that is in the Flag Code, not federal law. It is not against the law to fly the flag at night without lighting it. However, many people would view it as a sign of disrespect for the flag.

Apparently, you think you own your home. You don't, just like the rest of us. We just rent them from our masters and must get clearnance to use them as we would choose.
