Removed the 21" tube TV and replaced with a 26" flat panel I bought off Craigslist.

Just got a cellular terminal and a temperature sensing unit. If I can figure out how to hook this thing up correctly it'll send a text message to my cell phone anytime the coach temp exceeds a preset level, or if the power goes out. Will give us some peace of mind on those occasions that we leave the dogs in the MH.

We got it all hooked up today. We went with Demco tow equipment because they had a baseplate for our truck. I think we did good, ordered from PPL in Houston, had a local person do the install. We did a test ride today, it went very well. I do have one question still, you need to leave the steering wheel unlocked and the truck out of gear. So, is it ok to turn the truck off, leave the key in the ignition, and not locked?
Good luck!

I believe it depends on the vehicle. In our case we leave the key on and just disconnect the negative battery lead if we are going far enough to wear down the battery with dash lights. We could lock the doors with a second key I guess.
Some of the newer vehicles need a fuse pulled to stop the odometer from accumulating miles. Our toad is old enough to have a mechanical speedometer cable so it piles on the miles.
If you post a question in the toad forum here and give the make and model I am sure someone will be able to help.

I ran for 12 years with my pickup unlocked. When we started with the Honda, I read this was a car that was high on the stolen list. I placed a spare key over the door to the motorhome and lock it with that key.

We had a TT, take a lot of wood blocks for leveling...and get a electric jack if it doesn't already have one....Extra water hose, electric cord, I also keep a lot of extra old towels for whatever u may need them for, gloves for all the dirty jobs... I could go on and on....I like to think of it as my home away from home so whatever I have at home I have a smaller version in the motor home, you just have to be sensible about it....

There was a recent thread that might help with the basics. Search for "new TT" and you'll see it. I would paste the link but don't know how from the iPad app.
Oh yea, Welcome!

Had to buy a new modem/router. Old one died on Thursday and we lost all access to the iternet. Ipad is usless without wireless, too. Back up and running. (router is in an office - hard cable to blueray player, wireless for laptop/phones/ipad)
Bougt a new Frigidaire 4.4cf frig/freezer. Took the washer/dryer combo out and put the frig in it's place. Fits really well and with the closet doors closed it dissapears.
We barely used the washer/dryer and we always need more frig space for food and drink. Easy swap.
