I would work on getting the title corrected, but it's hardly an urgent thing. As explained earlier in this topic, the year on the title of a vehicle like this is NOT the chassis VIN year. It must be taken from the original Manufacturer Certificate of Origin (MCO) and it is whatever year the motorhome manufacturer chose to state there. The VIN of an "incomplete vehicle" is not relevant, no matter what a DMV clerk or insurance rep may say. Get their supervisor on the phone and ask until somebody knowledgeable answers.

The bank get a repo title issued and apparently the clerk who issued it used the chassis VIN. That was a mistake and that issuing state DMV needs to make the correction.

An incorrect title year can cause you problems with insurance valuation in the event of a loss, and at re-sale time. IMO, it's worth fixing.
