Learned that lesson about half-way between Whitehorse YT and Tok AK! Can't do much in an RV without running water or a safe outside supply.

What's on your "it will fail" list?
My wife when I demand a cold one while I am sitting in the chair with my feet up.

If something does not break on a trip, then you must not be using it right. I don't know of any trip where something did not break (mostly because of my kids). I have a buddy that opened his fridge (never cold) when we got to our location and the door fell off, boy was he mad! Its all part of the life of having a coach rolling down the road.

Whatever you are not carrying a spare for or the ability to fix yourself.

We had our first trip where nothing failed on our motorhome and thats because we left it at home and did the hotel thing. After 4 weeks travelling in a mini van with dw and two full sized dogs including one large dog crate for the puppy, I now have renewed appreciation for the motorhome and all the repairs and maintenance are worth it.

So for those of you that are feeling blue or worried about the next item to fail, try taking a trip without your rv...... You will miss it !

HWH is a company that manufactures hyd. leveling jacks, slide room hyd. cylinders, etc. They have a very good product line, and customer service dept.

It's much easier to have a "what WON'T fail list".

Judging by everything that has already failed on our 2015 Keystone Cougar, I would say that absolutely anything else could be and will be next. Poor quality to say the least.

Got a sticking HWH jack, got a clutch fan that I know is going to cause me a trip to the parts counter.
My most exciting failure was the drive axle. The MH was under tow at the time because it had lost the ability to self propel. The Tow driver made the decision to front end tow since we were on a busy interstate and we would need the Sheriff to close the highway for him to tow the MH by the rear. He estimated only the six miles to the repair shop.
Only went three miles however when the MH started getting lighter on account of shedding parts. Watching the rear duals fly over the hill and across the prairie is a sight I do not wish to repeat. The various sundry bits that had gotten hot and set the prairie grass on fire in a multitude of places was another bit to the adventure.
Thank goodness we had a Tag axle that took the weight.
My comment to the tow driver was "Well I guess we are in this together now arn't we" He replied "guess so" and was helpful getting the parts for the repair.
I wish I could predict what will fail next. If I get good at that then maybe I will get good at buying lottery tickets.
All the best and safe travels everyone
