Ours has now become HH (Hillbilly Hilton). Bought an older, smaller class C last year and have been performing "creative" renovations ever since. Moved the kitchen from the middle to the back where the bed was, turned the dinette into a lazy boy couch which pulls out into a full size bed, cab overhead is now cat condo/storage, ladder bike rake changed to dog fence carrier. Satellite, cable and off-air wired and mifi setup of course. Yeppers, it's not a high dollar coach but looks good (well - okay - repainted the exterior), runs good and provides us with great travel fun!

The official name is Casita Grande- big little house. Cause it's big on the outside and a sweet little home on the inside. Also it's a Monaco LA PALMA, and our son and family live in Puerto Rico, land of palm trees and espanol language - and we took the 'la palma" name/model to be a good sign when we first saw it. But sometimes when I'm driving and feeling macho (I am actually an ol lady, ) I refer to "big mama coming thru"...... but then maybe that really refers to ME .... hummm.....

What is the attraction to name an RV?

Do you also name your automobile, what about the ride on mower, or other means of conveyance? Bicycle?

Does it need a name so that we can talk about it in the third person?

Boats were named because they weren't using license plates yet, actually it was fear and superstition. They are still named because of tradition and ego.

I didn't name our tents, our trailers, or the 13ft inflatable boat; am not going to name the Class A.

End of soapbox.

Wow, I thought I put enough smiley faces, etc, that you would know the posting was tongue in cheek; oh well.

It depends on what day it is and how much it cost me.

Some of the names can't be said in front of small children let alone you folks! LOL

On the odd day when we are going down the road and the rockin has emptied the pee traps, my wife calls her the "Rolling Turd" due to the smell.

My wife and I are Sci-Fi geeks so we wanted a good name. We thought that "Enterprise" was too obvious, so we went with "Serenity" (from "Firefly").

You can't take the sky from us!

Ours is a 1996 Holiday Rambler Vacationer ES--named Molly by previous owner--she always says Molly had never let her down--Sounds like the name is good luck--no reason to change it---Vince

"Do you also name your automobile, what about the ride on mower, or other means of conveyance? Bicycle? "

My riding mower has the name "JIMMS TOY on the back and front bumpers. My first dodge cornet (1969 model) was called the "Green Hornet" That was back in the CB radio days. I think anything we have put our heart and soul into the ownership and actually made that "LAST PAYMENT" deserves a name. I kinda feel a little sad when that 18 wheeler with all of the crushed cars on the flat bed it is hauling goes by. What kind of stories can those old crushed cars tell if they could talk. How proud were their owners when they left the car lot. They did their job, and now its over. I guess I am a little attached to the untold history they represent.
