Grease the bearings on new trailers by hand. That is the only way you will know they are greased correctly, check the brakes for adjustment, and re-assembled correctly.

I don't understand why packing wheel bearing around 1 year on a travel trailer is so important. I have been driving cars and trucks for 50+ years and never repacked a car or truck. I drove them for over 100,000 miles each before purchasing a new one. I can understand on a boat trailer because the boat trailer bearings are submerged in water every time it is launched. I do my boat trailer every year because of submersion. I would certainly do a repack if it was leaking had to replace a rear seal. I always inspect for leakage before, during and after a trip on my boat trailer and travel trailer bearings.
