Why don't people put where they are from in their signatures? It would probably help a lot of people reading or replying to threads when you understand what they are talking about when you know where they are from.

It would also maybe produce some new friendships when you find out the guy you have been posting with is your neighbor.

I realize you can click on anyone's profile, but why have to go to that length? When I read a post, it's all about the rig and the toads. Isn't this a community forum? RVers and campers are the nicest people around.

Tried to add mine and it wouldn't come up. I guess there isn't enough space or I did something wrong...

Mine shows up under my Avatar. You have to check a box in your profile. I think that is how I did it ;-)

Dogpatch: You have a great idea. It makes it easier to understand (sometimes) the point a poster is making.

The left coast certainly has different circumstances than the east coast. Little or no rust in the desert southwest for example.

If you look to the left of the post under join date you will see a location of poster line but only if the poster filled their profile in with the information.

Mine is not filled in because it's in my signature block but look at the majority of posts in this thread alone and you can see the posters given location.

You can up date your profile information by clicking on "User CP" at the the top left line of the header box above the reply text box.

Ditto, I am more interested in 'what they have' vs. where they are. Being FT the profile does not cut it, but I do post what we are living in. That is the big thing, what is good for a 18' trailer, might not cut it for some of us.

Overall, there are lots of great ideas of things to see and do on this forum, we just need to be clear at times. Happy travels,

Bob

Some, for personal/security reasons, choose not to share that info. Others, like me, have it in both my user name/avatar block & in my sig.
